Step by step
Carpal tunnel exposure
Mark the incision site in line with the ulnar border of the fourth digit, starting just proximal to Kaplan’s cardinal line and extending approximately 3 cm proximally.
Palmar cutaneous branch of the median nerve injury
Avoid crossing the proximal crease of the wrist to prevent damage to the palmar cutaneous branch of the median nerve.
