This is the finger pulse oximeter.
This device measures the oxygen levels in the blood in a quick and painless way.
This is the LED screen where the measurements are displayed.
This is the pulse quality indicator which will light up green, yellow or red depending on the measurements after the finger is inserted.
On the back of the device, the battery tray can be seen and when removed, the batteries are seen. removing and changing the batteries will be discussed in chapter 4.
When the device is opened the underside of the top of the device can be seen.
Take note of the infrared sensor which will read the patients finger.
Take note also that the inside of the device is shaped to fit the finger of the patient and there is a built in stop guide for the finger so it will be positioned well.
