Mark the incision line on the skin of the upper medial aspect of the calf. Starting at a point 1 cm distal and posterior to the tibial plateau, extending distally parallel to the posterior border of the tibia.
The length of the incision is determined by the extent of the pathology and is typically 12 – 15 cm.
