Delivery of the Aftercoming Head

Introduction

It is advised to proceed with maneuvers to deliver the aftercoming head if it has become impacted during the course of a normal breech delivery or as part of a partial breech extraction.

There are two maneuvers by which the head of the fetus that is impacted in the maternal pelvis may be delivered: the Mauriceau Maneuver and the De Snoo Maneuver.
