Valleylab Force Triad with LigaSure Mode
This Valleylab Force Triad with LigaSure Mode course will teach you:
- How to use the Valleylab Force Triad with LigaSure Mode electrosurgical unit with monopolar and bipolar functions.
Step by step
This course discusses how a standard electrosurgical unit with monopolar and bipolar functions is operated. It is important to know the differences between electrosurgical devices in order to understand the effect on tissue. A commonly used standard electrosurgical unit is the Valleylab Force Triad with LigaSure Mode. It is a bit more complicated compared to the Valleylab Force FX electrosurgical unit due to an extension of functions, such as a LigaSure function.
The device may be used in all kinds of surgery, including regular and endoscopic procedures. It is a power controlled generator. The difference between a power controlled and voltage controlled generator and the difference in tissue effect is explained in the course:”The Basics of Electrosurgery“.
In this course, the handling of the Valleylab Force Triad with LigaSure Mode and the different settings and modes with the corresponding tissue effects will be discussed.
The LigaSure function of the generator will be discussed as well. A LigaSure instrument is a bipolar instrument usable on veins, arteries and lymphatics. It is capable of sealing vessels up to 7 mm. Thermal spread to surrounding tissue is reduced. The generator detects the thickness of the tissue to be sealed and automatically stops providing energy when the required amount of energy has been delivered.
It is advised to start with the course:”The Basics of Electrosurgery“. This course will provide a more detailed explanation about electrosurgery and its working mechanism.
