Incision Assist Achieves Industry-Leading Net Promoter Score of +72
Amsterdam, [July, 2025] – Incision today announced a Net Promoter Score (NPS®) of +72 for its flagship product, Incision Assist. The score, based on feedback from clinical end-users at two major hospitals, far exceeds the industry benchmark of +30 to +45, surpassing even top-performing healthtech platforms.
With a score above 70 widely recognized as world-class, this result underscores the trust and satisfaction Incision Assist has earned from professionals and their teams working in the OR.
“An NPS of 72 is a powerful reflection of how embedded Assist has become in the daily workflow of OR teams,” said Ritsaart van Montfrans, CEO at Incision.
“We’re extremely proud to see that our product is becoming not only useful, but indispensable—supporting teams as they prepare and perform in this safety-critical environment, where every process and every tool must prove its value.”
What Is NPS® and Why Does It Matter?
The Net Promoter Score is a widely used metric for measuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. It is based on a single question: “How likely are you to recommend this product to a colleague?” Respondents are classified as Promoters (scores 9–10), Passives (7–8), or Detractors (0–6). The score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of Detractors from the percentage of Promoters, producing a number between –100 and +100.
In the world of digital platforms, such as software used in hospitals or healthcare, average scores typically range from +30 to +45, with top-performing platforms scoring in the 50s. Across industries, a score above +70 is considered outstanding—particularly in healthcare, where expectations are high and tools must deliver immediate value. A score of +72 indicates exceptional satisfaction, loyalty, and trust among users.
End-User Feedback from Two Leading Hospitals
The NPS survey was conducted among perioperative staff at HagaZiekenhuis in The Hague and IJsselland Hospital near Rotterdam, two hospitals that have fully implemented Incision Assist across all their surgical service lines.
At HagaZiekenhuis, one of the Netherlands’ largest teaching hospitals, Assist is now fully embedded into daily workflows across 12 surgical specialties and 15 ORs. More than 600 protocols have been digitized, with a stable cohort of around 100 monthly active users. In a previous staff survey, 88% of respondents reported greater confidence in key perioperative tasks such as patient preparation, equipment setup, and familiarity with procedural steps. Additionally, 90% stated that onboarding new or traveling colleagues had become significantly easier. You can read the full case study here.
“I’d definitely recommend Assist not just for OR nurses, but also for anesthesia, technologists, and students,” said Giselle Kies, Student OR Nurse at Haga.
“Making our workflows more efficient really helps ease the pressure… it’s incredibly helpful when everyone knows exactly what each team member is doing!”
At IJsselland, a 338-bed general hospital with eight ORs, Assist has been in use for several years and continues to deliver measurable operational benefits. A review of nearly 15,000 elective cases showed a 15% average reduction in turnover times across all surgical service lines. In recognition of the hospital’s innovation and impact through its partnership with Incision, IJsselland received a national leadership award from the Dutch government. “Assist has transformed how we transfer knowledge in the OR,” said Joyce van de Wende, Preceptor and Perioperative Nurse Educator at IJsselland.
“Surgeons see that staff are better prepared, students love it, and juniors assume more responsibility earlier on.”
